Design: Iso-Seq libraries of PX506 strain were prepared from with the Clonetech SMARTer PCR cDNA Synthesis kit for cDNA synthesis and PCR amplification with no size selection starting with 500ng of total RNA from a mixed staged population of C. remanei strain PX506 (Clonetech, Cat#634925). PacBio library generation was performed on-site and sequenced on the PacBio Sequel I platform (GC3F, University of Oregon).

Caenorhabditis remanei is an obligate outcrossing nematode, a member of the 'Elegans' supergroup. We generated a chromosome-level genome assembly of the C. remanei PX506 inbred strain created from a wild isolate from an isopod collected in a forest near Toronto (Canada) using PacBio and Hi-C data, Illumina reads. In addition to publicly available transcriptomic data, we obtained full-transcript sequences (IsoSeq) to annotate the genome.
